Still confused after all these years,,,
by marriedtoajw inas you guys can see i don't post as much as i'd like to.
work hours and little family time don't allow me enough time to do it.
as i've stated on some of my previous posts, also under the user name sahara, i still get confused after all of these years being married to a jw.

So sorry to hear of your trouble; are you absolutely sure your in-laws, or wife, are not still secretly indoctrinating your son? They get constant training on how to do this, so I'd still follow what truth_b_known said just to be safe.

I don't know what to tell you besides give it time, do your research and decide for yourself. If you're not thoroughly convinced of the best path for yourself you will ALWAYS have doubts, and that's not a great way to live by any account; so whatever you decide make it YOUR decision.
One thing that has always helped me is asking, "When someone is trying to persuade me, why are they doing it and who is benefiting from it?" This has helped open my eyes to, in my opinion, the societies scam. They need you, your free labor and your cold hard cash; however there are many good people here with great advice that have nothing to gain by helping you; it's something to think about.

Don't you think they are already warping and twisting a reply to why the end has not come yet? They are going to do their damnedest to make sure this blows over without a ripple; but what does actually happen is anyone's guess.
I agree that the internet and research savvy up and comers will not take it at face value and we'll see a major drop off of young one's as the years go by (and by, and by, and by, and by).
Teheheh JRK, I think of it like this: you can only serve a shight sammich for so long before someone says, "hey this is a shight sammich, why the hell am I eating a shight sammich?", while others will gobble it down like thanksgiving dinner and keep going back for seconds.

logically an argument could be formulated that this meeting was not a regularly scheduled or organized group that held weekly or monthly meetings to discuss things related to the early christian congregation but that is a thesis to be explored on another day.. .

obviously we all know atheists and agnostics have nothing in common with psychopaths.
in fact i would hold that atheists and agnostics generally have better functioning consciences than religionists.

I think that what we are, or are not, born with is inconsequential.
We are shaped by every passing second of our lives and these moments change and mould us, so by the time we put a conscience into play it has already been shaped by outward stimuli.
In other words we are what we experience regardless of what we're born with; this can be applied both positively and negatively.
